Embodying the flow of Consciousness awakening to itself- Samāveśa - immersion

awakening the wonders of our true nature as a folding and unfolding of the continuum of body, mind and energy!

In this 4 day immersion, we will be exploring the philosophy and teachings of Trika Shaivism or Kashmir Shaivism, and the embodiment of it through somatic practices and kriyas.

Trika- “the three-fold Reality.”

Abhinavagupta, the great 11th century Kashmiri adept and scholar, defined Trika as Shiva, Shakti, and their unison.

Shiva and Shakti are a unity. They are not two, yet they create the experiencing of separation and differences. Thus they create the experiencing of also re-uniting.

The entirety of manifest life is pulsating and rivering with movements of separating and coming together. To enjoy the “coming and going” of ordinary experience and simultaneously to recognize and rest in the eternal unity of Shiva and Shakti, as one of my teachers Shambavi puts it, are the path and the fruit of Tantrik sadhana- practice.

In our somatic movement and embodiment practices, we get to immerse in fluids, nervous system and the organs to bring the tone of this into action, and back to rest.
